Every employer, at some time or another, has to let someone go. It isn’t easy, and it isn’t pleasant but there are ways to make the best of the situation and Engaged HR can help you do just that. We draw on our 20 years of experience to provide you with expertise and guidance on the legalities of terminations to ensure that you are complying with all of the applicable legislation and more than that, we provide you with a sounding board and an opportunity to learn from the experience. Our goal is to ensure that you have examined the situation from a number of angles and have a created a solution that works for you. If applicable, we can also be with you during the termination process and can support you with all of the various documentation and logistical processes that are a part of a smooth transition.

One of the supports that can make for a smooth transition is the provision of outplacement services to the departing employee.  Engaged HR has a number of outplacement services available.

Outplacement Services

At Engaged HR we believe in personalised outplacement services that focus on where the transitioning employee is at in their career journey.  Our outplacement packages consist of a variety of different levels of support and services and each package includes one-to-one, confidential career coaching with an ICF certified career coach.

Engaged HR can provide support in any location and work with displaced employees virtually or remotely via telephone consultation. For businesses located in Victoria and surrounding area we can meet with transitioning employees at our Engaged HR location.  Outplacement services must begin within three months of purpose and complete within six months of the first appointment.

This package assists individuals that need career direction. It includes assistance in exploring future career options and opportunities as well as developing an appropriate job search strategy. Once a transitioning employee has worked through a career exploration process and decided on their next steps, our certified career coach will work with them to develop a resume, cover letter and job search plan. The Career Exploration package supports include:

This package supports transitioning employees from the start of their transition and builds their knowledge of the job search process throughout. After a personalized review of their current needs, former employees are supported with individualized targeted job search and career transition support. Transitioning employees will explore a variety of career opportunities and develop a complete individualized marketing package including resume and cover letter, LinkedIn profile and other relevant job search tools. This package also assists with personalized interview coaching and role playing.
