Miranda Logan-Webb

As an emerging HR professional, I feel extremely fortunate to have been taken on board by such incredibly knowledgeable, dedicated, and fun mentors. I’m looking forward to learning from and growing with Engaged HR as I complete my formal studies and work towards becoming a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP).

After graduating from the University of British Columbia in 2010 with a BA in English and Ethics, I explored several potential careers, working as a non-profit program coordinator, a line cook, a youth care worker, and as a landscaper. None of these jobs felt like a forever choice, but these diverse experiences led me to my “aha” moment. I realized that my favourite part of all of those jobs was the same – the people part! I was fascinated by the process of identifying and solving the people-based puzzles I had encountered in each industry I’d worked in. For the last year and a half, I have been focused on developing my HR toolbox through courses, workshops, and conversations with leaders in the HR and leadership community. I’m excited to have finally identified my ideal career fit, and look forward to many more years developing and applying my skills as an HR practitioner.

When I’m not at the Engaged HR office, I can be found practicing yoga, coaching Special Olympics swimming, volunteering as Communications Coordinator for the NGO positively AFRICA, or spending time chasing after my 13 energetic nieces and nephews.
