Years ago, I was working as a Stockroom Supervisor for a large retail clothing company in Vancouver, when I realized that sales and enterprise simply weren’t for me. The part of my job that I loved the most was helping students who were participating in return-to-work programs, gaining on-the-job experience in our store. I remember that more than anything else, I loved being a part of the development process for the students, working with them and their program supervisors to help them achieve success. Armed with that knowledge, I returned to school and completed my M. Ed. in Counselling Psychology at the University of Victoria in 2001. I specialized in the area of Career Counselling; and for the past 16 years, I have supported individuals and groups in personal, educational, and career growth. I’ve worked for non-profit organizations and post-secondary institutions; and I currently enjoy running my own private practice. I create professional resumes for clients of any skill level; and I also facilitate a variety of dynamic development workshops for staff groups.
