Early in my career, I discovered a passion for the people side of business – and the importance of having sound HR management in organizations. I am consistently motivated by the diversity of organizations we have the privilege to serve in our day-to-day work. I enjoy understanding client concerns and challenges, recognizing areas for improvement, and working alongside the client to implement solutions, with a goal of making each organization a great place to work. My ultimate desire is to leave a positive influence on every person I encounter through empathy, compassion, cheerfulness, and a solutions-focus.
I hold a BBA in HR from Mount Royal University in Calgary. For many years I have managed and supported HR teams across various industries, including employment services, non-profits, consulting, technology, and oil & gas (to name a few). I have extensive background in HR management, including people leadership, coaching, project and program management, system implementation and administration, policy and procedure creation, engagement, onboarding, performance management, training and development, benefits, compensation, and global mobility.
After one too many winters of my eyelashes freezing together in Calgary, my partner and I moved out West. I love the temperate climate of Vancouver Island and enjoy many extra-curricular activities such as seaside walks, hiking, paddle boarding, reading, and travelling. I’m always game for trying a cozy pub or brunch spot!
