With over 12 years of experience in Human Resources, I have been fortunate to work in public and private organizations across diverse industries such as manufacturing, municipal and regional government, non-profit and technology. Through this experience and my many years at Engaged HR, I have gained extensive knowledge and experience in recruitment and onboarding, policy and procedure development, HRIS and system development, engagement, performance management, benefits, and compensation.
With a genuine interest in learning about people and understanding different perspectives, I thrive on quality connections and building meaningful relationships. My work at Engaged HR allows me to take an objective, solutions-focused and collaborative approach to support our clients with special projects, as well as various day-to-day HR functions and development of best practices in their organizations.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resources and Marketing from the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC). I initially began my post-secondary education with the intention of a career in Marketing, however I quickly realized HR was a much better fit for me to more directly support and impact the success of individuals and organizations. With that pursuit in mind, I have been continuing to hone my skills in the profession and achieved my Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation in 2012. In 2019, I also achieved the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) credential.
When not working, you can find me at one of the amazing local culinary or community events that Victoria has to offer, trying new recipes at home and entertaining friends.
