Brianna Rinald, CPHR

Brianna brings a unique combination of operational experience, HR expertise, and genuine curiosity about people. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communications from Royal Roads University and a CPHR designation, and has spent nearly a decade supporting organizations across construction, waste management, industrial operations, and health care.

Known for her ability to build trust quickly, Brianna believes the best HR conversations happen when people feel comfortable sharing what is really going on. By creating that sense of connection, she helps organizations uncover root causes, navigate challenges honestly, and find practical solutions that work for both people and business goals.

Brianna’s career began in hospitality, where she managed restaurants while completing her degree and ultimately served as General Manager. She later joined Kinetic Construction, where her interest in HR led her from an administrative role into the HR team, supporting employee engagement, culture initiatives, and organizational change.

She went on to expand her HR expertise with Coast Environmental during a major acquisition by GFL Environmental, and later with the Ralmax Group of Companies, where she progressed from HR Generalist to HR Manager, supporting 13 companies across unionized and non-unionized workplaces. Most recently, as HR Manager with Heart Pharmacy Group, she helped foster a people-first culture that contributed to the organization becoming an employer of choice.

Throughout her career, Brianna has often been the sole HR professional or senior HR resource on lean teams. She is known for providing practical advice, staying calm under pressure, and helping leaders navigate complex people challenges with confidence. Her background in operations allows her to bridge the gap between business realities and HR best practices in a way that is approachable and effective.

Do the hard thing now

At the heart of Brianna’s work is a belief that people bring organizations to life. She sees work as a source of purpose, connection, and growth, and is passionate about helping individuals and organizations understand what is really happening beneath the surface so they can move forward in a way that is respectful, practical, and human.

Her advice to employers is simple: “Do the hard thing now.”

Outside of work, Brianna enjoys tackling home renovation projects, exploring new business ideas, and collecting inspiration on Pinterest. She is endlessly curious and always looking for the next challenge to learn from.
