Lyndsey Kayal, CPHR

Lyndsey is one of our People and Culture Partners, supporting our client organizations with actionable HR advice and leadership on strategic and day-to-day functions alike. Collaborative and solutions-focused, Lyndsey excels in developing foundational systems and processes, strategic planning and projects, and supporting and coaching managers through navigating various people situations and challenges. Thoughtful and objective, she seeks to understand all perspectives and clarify the root cause of a given issue in order to shape appropriate resolutions.

Lyndsey thrives on creating quality connections. Wired to see the good in people, she shows up with openness and an abiding interest in learning about others. Lyndsey’s HR leadership experience spans small- to medium-sized organizations in the private sector, including customer service, the tech and legal sectors, and not-for-profits. She also has experience working with organizations with operations in multiple provinces and in the US.

Lyndsey genuinely cares for her clients, putting her back into their team’s and organization’s success. Knowing that we’re all in this together motivates her to find common ground and direction. 

I’m passionate about our clients and supporting them to create great workplaces. I want to help them make the easy things easy! When we support organizations in their journey to create a great place to work, we know it impacts not just the organization’s success, but the lives and families of the people who choose to work there.

Lyndsey started her Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Northern BC with the intention of pursuing a career in marketing. When the HR degree was introduced at UNBC in her fourth year, Lyndsey seized the opportunity to bring two things together that she loved. She double-majored, graduating in 2009. She went on to work in HR for the City of Prince George, the Capital Regional District, and for Epicure, a global direct-sales company based on Vancouver Island. Lyndsey received her CPHR in 2012. She joined Engaged as our very first employee in 2013.

In her non-working hours, Lyndsey can be found exploring local culinary and community events, and cooking up new recipes. She has delighted in our team’s cooking classes with the London Chef, and still talks about the Night in Napa. She loves Italian food, and is pretty sure she could eat pasta every day. Lyndsey loves spending time with her husband and toddler, and taking road trips back to see extended family in Prince George.
