Connecting to those around me is what I do best. Finding that tiny nugget in someone that links you to them is the first step in building relationships. It excites me to see what that nugget will be. This applies to business and personal relationships, and is a big part of the reason why I choose HR.
My journey to this point is a culmination of experiences, learnings, successes, and failures – all of which I am grateful for. They build upon who I am and allow me to provide clear, intentional, thoughtful solutions to clients.
I have been fortunate to work in a number of industries including Manufacturing, Information Technology, Hospitality, and HVAC and I have worked in many segments of HR including Mental Health and Wellness, COVID Protocol development, global market launches, scaling workforces, training, coaching and mentoring, performance management, recognition, change management, corrective discipline, employee engagement, recruitment, policy and procedure development, handbook writing, and large-scale special events.
On a personal note, I grew up in the east coast, in New Brunswick. I have also lived in Halifax and Quebec City before settling here in Victoria. I have a BA in Psychology and consider myself a lifelong learner. That includes my profession – every day is a new discovery and challenge! This spring I accepted the personal challenge of gardening – in particular growing veggies and flowers from seed. These little babies have been so fascinating – who knew?
