Understanding what motivates and matters to people is at the core of what makes me tick. I began my studies in Commerce at UBC with the end goal of running my own business, but quickly realized that a career in HR was a better fit with my strengths. Throughout 12 years as an HR professional I have worked in a variety of positions across public and private sectors. While there are many facets of HR I enjoy, in recent years I have had the opportunity to focus on and gain more specialized skills in recruitment (international and Canadian) and project/team management.
People management is constantly evolving, and I thrive on participating in the dynamic relationships between employers and their teams. Helping make those relationships and processes run smoothly for everyone involved is what I’m all about. My work at Engaged HR allows me to incorporate my insights and observations to help organizations develop more inclusive and productive work environments.
In my spare time I can be found spending time with my young son, playing ice hockey, and eating s’mores around a campfire.
