Kimberley Schacht
I developed an interest in HR because it combines my curiosity for how people tick with my passion for improving the employee experience. My career started in consultative sales in the publishing world and when the pandemic started, I enrolled in some HR courses at Camosun College as a way to keep my brain occupied during restrictions. That soon developed into a goal to obtain a Post-Degree Diploma in Human Resources and change careers. I’m grateful for the opportunity to develop my knowledge and skills at such an exciting place as Engaged.
While I no longer work in publishing, my passion for storytelling and the written word remains. When not at work, you’ll often find me with a good book, or playing all sorts of board and computer games.
