Arielle McCulloch, CPHR

Arielle brings a solid academic and professional foundation to her work in human resources. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Human Resources and Leadership—earning not one, but two Co-op/Internship Student of the Year awards during her studies. Both co-ops were completed as an HR Assistant, setting the stage for a meaningful career built on practical experience. Since graduating, Arielle has earned her CPHR designation and completed Engaged’s Art of HR certificate program, further strengthening her skill set in both the theory and practice of modern HR.

With close to seven years of hands-on HR experience, Arielle has developed a reputation for operational excellence. She thrives in the behind-the-scenes mechanics of HR—particularly HRIS platforms, policy and procedure development, and building standardized systems that create consistency and clarity across organizations. One of her earliest HR roles tasked her with overhauling a company’s entire suite of policies—an experience she describes as “sink or swim,” though she clearly swam. (Her Olympic-level policy skills are still going strong!)

While Arielle is passionate about learning and development, her heart is especially in the work that supports people through life’s harder moments. Leave management and compassionate employee support have become areas of expertise, and she finds deep meaning in helping individuals feel seen, supported, and cared for during challenging times. For her, making even a small positive impact on someone’s work life is the most rewarding part of the job.

Be honest, be accountable, and do your best

HR has always been part of Arielle’s vision, even when others weren’t so sure. In high school, her math teacher advised against going into business—but she followed her gut, knowing she was meant to work in a role that allowed her to support others. Today, she sees HR as a career of service, empathy, and structure—a space where she can help people grow, and ensure they have the tools and systems to thrive.

Outside of work, Arielle is a dedicated reader, often juggling four or five books at once across genres like fantasy, philosophy, self-help, and neuroscience. She’s also a bit of a Pinterest enthusiast and stays in tune with the lunar cycle via her favourite moon calendar app.

Her go-to workplace advice? Be honest, be accountable, and do your best—a mantra she picked up from a colleague and reminds herself of often.
