Hilary Booth, PMP

Hilary brings over nine years of experience in project management and business events, with a strong foundation in both hospitality and technology sectors. She holds a Small and Medium Enterprise Management Diploma, an Event Marketing Associate Certificate, a Graduate Certificate in Project Management, and proudly carries the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.

Hilary has led a wide range of initiatives, including software rollouts across multi-unit chain restaurants, hotels, and casinos, as well as the planning and execution of business events, incentive programs, and conferences for groups ranging from 60 to over 1,400 participants. Her career began in event coordination at a local summer exhibition in Northern BC, where her passion for organizing, people management, and problem-solving quickly took root. From there, she built a successful career in business event planning before shifting into the tech space to focus on more traditional project management work.

At the heart of Hilary’s approach is her belief that people are the key to any successful project. She emphasizes relationship-building, open communication, and collaboration with her project teams and stakeholders, which she believes are the cornerstones of project success. Now at Engaged, Hilary leverages her people-focused mindset to streamline workflows, implement continuous improvement strategies, and support her team in delivering exceptional results for clients.

Hilary views work as more than just a job—it’s a way to grow, contribute to something larger than oneself, and foster a sense of connection and purpose. Her personal mantra, “Take care of your people,” reflects both her leadership style and her commitment to building positive, human-centered work environments.

Outside of work, Hilary has a passion for health and wellness, travel, and true crime stories – her dream podcast would blend all three. She also loves diving into baking recipes, creative ideas for micro balcony gardens, and finding new West Coast hidden gems to explore with her family. If she could offer advice to her younger self, it would be to stop being so hard on herself and enjoy the moment—wise words that continue to shape her approach to life and work today.
