Alexa Seymour

Alexa’s got a solid foundation with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology and Ocean Sciences from the University of Victoria, reflecting her deep fascination with the natural world. Not stopping there, she’s also snagged a Human Resources Management Certificate, blending her knack for analysis with her interest in people-centric roles.

Professionally, Alexa’s all about data and analytics. She’s keen to dive deeper into HR Analytics, using her science skills to slice through complex data for clear insights. While she’s still finding her feet in the HR world, her enthusiasm for new knowledge and challenges makes her a dynamo on any team.

Her career kicked off at an indoor shrimp farm in Aldergrove right after college. In 2020 she joined the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Team at HelloFresh where she found her stride. A new door opened 2021 when she pivoted to a Workforce Planner role at HelloFresh. Over three years, she balanced production planning with HR duties, fueled by a supportive manager who backed her pursuit of an HR Management Certificate, which she achieved in 2023.

For Alexa, work is more than just a paycheck—it’s part of her identity. She sees her job as a place to carve out a purpose and define herself. This view is why she’s so passionate about continuous learning at work, keeping her engaged and eager to take on each day.

She’s also big on the social perks of the job. Meeting folks from various walks of life not only spices up her workday but also enriches her personal growth. Alexa embraces work challenges as chances to get creative and push the envelope, building resilience and a dynamic career.

Now part of the Engaged team, Alexa brings her enthusiasm and a wealth of knowledge to the table. Outside of work, she dreams of globe-trotting. Her bucket list is a mile long with places to see and experiences to soak up, driven by an unstoppable curiosity and a hunger for new perspectives.
