Jasmine Primeau, CHRP
Jasmine brings a robust academic foundation to Engaged, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Labour Relations and a Certificate in Human Resources Management. Her HR expertise is further enhanced by specialized certifications in Mediation and Workplace Investigations, enabling her to effectively foster positive workplace dynamics. Currently holding her CHRP designation from Ontario, Jasmine is transitioning toward becoming a CPHR member in BC, underscoring her commitment to continuous professional growth.
Jasmine’s career began in HR coordinator roles, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of managing the full employee lifecycle. Her career path allowed her to support multiple jurisdictions across Canada, highlighting her adaptability and breadth of expertise. She excels in dynamic environments, enthusiastically contributing to strategic initiatives and championing inclusive, high-performing workplace cultures.
Describing herself as a generalist at heart, Jasmine has spent over 13 years in the HR field, with a notable specialization in Employee Relations. She has extensive experience managing employee relations matters across unionized and non-unionized settings and is adept at navigating complex workplace environments. Her diverse industry background includes Healthcare, Transportation, Casinos, Telecommunications, and Financial Services, among others, positioning her to approach HR challenges with flexibility, empathy, and strategic insight.
A natural problem solver, Jasmine has always been passionate about advocating for others. Initially aspiring to become a corporate lawyer, she discovered during a law internship that her true calling was in Human Resources. The field allowed her to genuinely support people, tackle meaningful challenges, and actively shape positive workplace experiences.
I think as humans, we’re wired to want to grow, to create, and to matter—and meaningful work gives us a space to do all of that.
For Jasmine, work goes beyond earning a living; it’s integral to personal growth and finding purpose. She sees workplaces as environments where individuals explore their strengths, recognize limitations, and grow through challenges. Jasmine deeply values the connections and sense of community fostered by meaningful work, believing it fulfills essential human needs for growth, creativity, and significance.
Jasmine also holds a philosophy of embracing life’s uncertainties, viewing life not as a checklist but as an ongoing conversation. Outside of her professional role, Jasmine is passionately devoted to design, particularly interior design. She finds joy in transforming spaces into warm, personal reflections that resonate emotionally. For Jasmine, good design is about creating inviting environments where people feel truly at home, spaces that encourage relaxation and inspire deeper connections.
